The CFWs
You are here on the download page of all CFWs that are present on the site. These are listed in ascending order, ie you will find first the CFWx 3.55, then 4.21 etc ...
For all CFWs, the MD5 hash is indicated to ensure the authenticity of it, and that behind it there are no false CFW or other. There is also a download link status that indicates whether the CFW is available or not. If you are trying to download one and this one is not available, please let me know by using the contact form .
You will also find various information about the CFW in question:
- Type: Specifies the type of CFW, it can be either:
CEX: For PS3 standard
DEX: For PS3 converted to DEX
Cobra: CFW with the features of the old Cobra
no-BD dongle : CFW can be installed on a PS3 that does not does not have a daughter card for the reader - Version: CFW Version
- Source: From where the CFW was taken, can also indicate CFW changelogs
Caution: CFWs are not official versions approved by Sony. The installation of a CFW on your PS3 is a risk to take even if it is very small because the CFWs present here are tested on my side, however we never go to the shelter, that's why neither I nor the CFW developer will be held liable in the event of a brick in your PS3 when installing a CFW.
OFWs
You will also find at the bottom of the page some official versions of the PS3 (OFW). These are therefore the versions made by Sony and do not offer the advantages of a CFW of course but they can prove useful for example for a reassociation of drive, setting up the console with version 3.55 etc. ..
Warning: I still pay attention to the fact that if you install an official version superior to the 3.55 on your jailbroken PS3, you will have to go through the jailbreak with a flasher. So be careful before installing any official version.
